SAP Data Migration Consultant
We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Consultant to join our delivery team, supporting business-critical data migration projects as clients move from legacy systems into modern SAP environments, including S/4HANA transformations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute end-to-end data migration activities: extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and load
- Define migration scope, data objects, and cutover strategy in coordination with project leads and client stakeholders
- Build and maintain data mapping documents and transformation rules across source and target systems
- Work across integration points with SAP MDG, functional modules (MM, SD, FI/CO), and legacy or third-party systems
- Design and execute mock loads, dry runs, and reconciliation checks ahead of go-live
- Run requirement workshops with client stakeholders to define data quality standards and migration acceptance criteria
- Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing for migrated data
- Prepare functional documentation, migration run books, and cutover plans
- Provide hypercare and post-go-live support, troubleshooting data issues as they arise
- Report project status, risks, and blockers to project leads and client stakeholders
- Collaborate with SAP MDG and Syniti ADM consultants on governance and tooling alignment where relevant
Requirements
- Hands-on experience leading or supporting SAP data migration projects (legacy-to-SAP or SAP-to-SAP, including S/4HANA conversions)
- Solid understanding of data migration methodology: extraction, cleansing, transformation, validation, and load
- Experience with data migration tooling (e.g., LSMW, BODS, LTMC/LTMOM, or similar)
- Experience working with core master and transactional data objects across MM, SD, and FI/CO
- German language proficiency at B2/C1 (required for direct client communication)
- Professional working proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP Migration Cockpit or S/4HANA-specific migration tools
- Exposure to SNP or Syniti-led migration methodologies
- Background in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Food & Beverage industries
- SAP certification in data migration or a related module
- Experience with data governance frameworks (e.g., SAP MDG) and how they interface with migration-ready data
