SAP MDG Consultant
We’re hiring an experienced SAP MDG Consultant to join our team, supporting master data governance implementations for clients across various industries.
Responsibilities
- Configure and implement SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) for relevant data domains (e.g., material, customer, vendor, finance)
- Design and set up governance workflows, data models, validation rules, and derivation logic
- Define data quality rules and duplicate check configurations to ensure consistent, governed master data
- Work across integration points between SAP MDG and other SAP modules (MM, SD, FI/CO) as well as connected downstream systems
- Run requirement workshops with client stakeholders and translate business needs into functional specifications
- Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
- Prepare functional documentation, process flows, and configuration guides
- Provide hypercare and post-go-live support, troubleshooting governance and data quality issues as they arise
- Report project status, risks, and blockers to project leads and client stakeholders
- Collaborate with SAP Data Migration and Syniti ADM consultants on cross project data dependencies where relevant
Requirements
- Hands on experience implementing and supporting SAP MDG
- Solid understanding of master data domains and governance processes across at least one core data object (material, customer, vendor, or finance)
- Experience configuring MDG workflows, business rules, and data models
- Experience integrating SAP MDG with other SAP modules
- German language proficiency at B2/C1 (required for direct client communication)
- Professional working proficiency in English
Nice to have
- Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA specifically
- Exposure to Fiori-based MDG
- Background in Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, or Financial Services industries
- SAP certification in MDG or a related data management module
- Familiarity with data migration or Syniti ADM tools and how they interface with MDG-governed data
